Yes I'm Still interested Anthony. Please let me know your prices and postal options. Almost 3 years to the day since I posted this so very surprised to receive an answer at this stage but thank you for messaging.
I use two super glued together. I actually chose the Sticky ones over the sonu bait ones I thought how simular they were to the Hinders ones.. My local shop had both sonu & Sticky at the time. I just use the sticky now.
I need a new light chair but also need some height to the seat because of my dodgy knees these days. I've got a chub Hi-Lite at the moment which I've has for a lot of years but it has seen its best days now. Can anyone recommend a High light chair. I've had a look at the Korum one but with my...
As a couple of people have said.. Have a look at the free spirit range before you make your mind up.. The Barbel Seeker is a fantastic rod.. I had one built about 4 years ago by Roger Hurst who builds most of the free spirit rods for the trade..
I've just this morning received a brand new Sundridge/daiwa igloo two piece suit from a company called
https://www.fishingtackleandbait.co.uk/en/Daiwa-Igloo-2-Piece-Suit/m-36628.aspx
And almost half price. I have a very old sundridge minus ten which after 15 plus years of great service is now...

Really enjoying reading this thread. I can see similarities in three rivers I fish. The river Soar in Leicestershire the Derbyshire Derwent and the Dove. They got so bad I stopped fishing for barbel but this season things seem to be slowly changing for the better. I've had three barbel sessions...
I use to carry a camera around with me but now just use my phone. Most modern Samsungs have voice operated take facility but if you've got a phone that doesn't have voice operation you can get the app called whistle cam. Some say that whistle cam doesn't take very good pictures but I've took...
It's all very busy at the moment. I doubt you'll get 4 pegs on Bob's Island or Smeatons which only has I think 7 pegs in total.. Gunthorpe you might and another one for the mix is A1 pits. Fiskerton as already mentioned.
If your not coming till later in the year it my have calmed down a bit. I...
I've never done float fishing for barbel on the trotting set up and just got to thinking.
Do I need to have may bait (probably meat) dragging bottom?. If so how much line would be best to have dragging bottom.
Terry I was thinking of ordering the 3.2mm but i was wondering how I would get the mud feet in but I suppose with them being plastic a Stanly knife would have sorted them out. I've gone for the 1.6mm which is the same as my old ones ..
With the weight I've put on I would have been better with...
Very kind offer Neil.
I've taken the opportunity to put longer legs on the chairs to give me a couple or so more inches to help my knees out plus a little extra to leave in the tube on the chair hoping it'll make the whole thing stronger.
Thank You very much for the kind offer
The one I've priced up is 19mm x 1.6mm wall thickness.
I'm waiting for my vernier caliper to be returned today so as I can be sure but by what i can measure with a tape and rule the walls on my chair legs is not 1.6mm.
But I'll be sure before I order.
Replacement legs for my chairs are £10 each plus P&P £3.50.
I need 6 legs to sort out two chairs £63.50
I've looked on Ebay at the aluminum tubing and it comes in at about £28
I've found This place and it comes in at £8.06 + £6 P&P Total £14.06..
I've not yet placed the order so of course have...
I have Googled it and the only one it came up with was kpspares. I've emailed so just waiting for them to get back to me.
Thank you both for your help.
