    global warming

This is a very good point, as population increases more & more house's are built on flood plains, therefore more disastrous floods. The devastating floods in Pakistan this year would not have been devastating several years ago, housing built on flood plains.

    global warming

Before this thread appeared I started listening to this podcast, finally finished it (I listen to it to & fro from work). Really interesting discussion that cuts through the alarmist stuff. Better listened to via podcast app if you can, Lex Fridman's other episodes are also very good.

    global warming

Yeah, the powers that be had to invent this huge, elaborate, global scam as they were struggling to find ways to tax us! It's probably safe to say the real truth is somewhere in between Gretta and GB news. It's painfully obvious to me we're having an affect on the climate, though I doubt it's...

    global warming

Yep, all in plain sight, but I challenge anyone to tell me what is so wrong with this 'vision of a better future' so to speak? I doubt it will happen anyway, as it'll probably be lobbied out of existence by those who stand to lose...

    What is fishing?

I was always under the impression a sport is defined as something competitive? Make of that what you will!

River Wye article. Pollution v housing

It's crazy that they don't make solar compulsory, they are fitting heat pumps to a lot of new housing. They get round the infrastructure issues (doctors, schools etc.) by building in 'phases', this sort of thing shouldn't be so easy to avoid, it's a joke.

River Wye article. Pollution v housing

More house's 🙄 This obsession with growth will be the end of us, you can't build for ever. Though you'd like to think the current financial situation and it's affect on mortgages would slow house buying a bit.

Bit of a long shot, River Severn.

Telford AA probably as good as any, or Rowley if you can get in next year.

    Age or discrimination

Angling Dreams by any chance? We had a similar situation a few years ago with them, one stretch we fished was OK, the other two you struggled to find a peg at all. I did complain in an email, but had nothing back, strange as they were happy to reply before we paid. I agree it should be better...

    Is this pollution

I would say yes, but I bet if you asked the EA they would come out with some BS about it being a natural occurrence, just like they do with the white foam.

Britains Water Scandal. BBC 4. 7.30.

Water companies, energy companies, politicians, the super rich, they all laugh at us, and we just bend over and take it. We're a joke.

Have a look at these from Czech company Cuzo, very similar to korum, no idea how good they are but look the part. https://cuzo.pl/en/products/

    ITV Tonight Programme

It's a sad state of affairs, for what it's worth there's this petition to re-nationalise the water. https://www.change.org/p/renationalise-the-water-industry

    Burbot are coming back.

Almost certainly a snakehead, I'm no expert, but I reckon the Shropshire union canal wouldn't be the first place they started to reappear.
