This little beauty works as well as the best of the best, great for tortting, and suface fishing for carp .
Now here is the best bit.
Cost . £2.50 from a Car boot , although I did have to make a new reel foot as the one fitted had been damaged .
Its a Wide drum Speedia by the way. I like...
And now for something completely different.
This is a genuine “ one off” , you will never be able to find another quite like it I think .
It is all hand crafted as below .
It was auctioned and raised somewhere in the region of five grand as I recall .
If I owned it , it would be in a...
The first well, no idea, the second looks like either a Rapidex or maybe a Trudex? Its hard to tell without seeing it “edge on “ so to speak. A Rapidex has a cage , which the spool slips into ,and a Trudex doesnt have . The reel in the picture has its spindle cap missing ,and its spool retention...
This just goes to show how fickle the tastes in rods/ reels etc is .
The 3500 BR has been iconic for years and practically unobtainable .
2 reels in tip top condition are almost being given away and nobody wants them !
Give it six months and they will probably be the fashionable “ must haves”...

Cheap as chips and readily availble from t’interweb .
Do not blame me if...
TBH I think Daiwa are creating a solution to a problem that does not exist .
It happens all the time in the modern tackle world and anglers must be the geese that lay golden eggs for the tackle companies .

Bargain !
Its a pity I have a pair already .I have had some stuff from Robert in the past , in fact one of my 3500 b’s came from him . Top bloke to buy from imo .

OK Mike, wrist slapped 😋. I had to search through the gallery on here for this one, from 2008 .I manage to look like a bit of a camo clot , and managed to completely hide its tail under my arm .
Am I forgiven ?
🤣🤣

Another bad photo, I just cannot get to grips with selfies in the dark , I know I had the flash on, but thats about all.
Just no idea what happened.

Has anybody any info re Bredwardine. I have seen the river there pretty high , but these are exceptional times.
Any pics of the bridge state atm would be really interesting.

I am in about the same position Jon, albeit I do have some very good dayticket Barbel waters within about a 50/60 mile radius, closest probably 40 miles or so .I have had a club ticket for a couple of years that had a barbel river the same distance away as well. For £35.00 I do probably 10...
When four of Santa’s elves got sick, and the trainee elves didn’t produce the toys as fast as the regular ones…
Santa was beginning to feel the pressure of being behind schedule.
Then, Mrs. Claus told Santa that her mom was coming to visit…
This stressed Santa even more.
When he went to...
