Mods, if you do correct Pauls spelling, would you please delete my post as well! I'm not sure that anybody actually twigged my risible jokelet anyway :o but if the spelling is corrected it'll make no sense whatsoever!:D
As a result of a similar thread a few months ago, i bought a Dutch ex-army Goeretex coat. It is indeed rather tatty and well worn, although as far as i can tell, there are no bullet holes in it!:)
It came to me at around 30 quid and it's done a terrific job so far.
Maurice Wiggin's The Passionate Angler - a forgotten classic, if you only want to read about monsters avoid this book. If you need a reminder as to why you fish, get your mitts on a copy asap!:)
Fair enough Andy but times have certainly changed! I once headed the list for a river and i think Brian took it from the Barbel Catchers list (with permission of course:)) as i certainly never publicised it.
Some time later he asked me for a photo, i duly informed him that the fish had...
Crikey! When did "official" river records come into being? Brian Dowling just used to collect as much credible info from as many sources as possible! If he was happy it was listed.
