Summer time footwear

With the long grass and dew on the ground on them early start's.
There is nothing worse then having wet feet all day.
so you need some waterproof footwear what's not to hot on a worm summer's day on the bank.
I have my winter pair sorted out Sprey Muckboot's but what do you lad's find a good pair or would recommend for the summer month's.

try sports world or sports direct's range of karrimor boots, light, comfy and pretty waterproof unless u take the odd dip in a ditch! about 25 quid, karrimor mount mid.

I wear my muckboots summer and winter, no problems, really good to walk in, best boots i have ever had,

Ray Thorpe.

I have field boots - waterproofed with Thompsons Water Seal :) - but last season especially my trousers got wet even though I had overtrousers on whilst walking through the long grass early morning. I then wore wellies and carried my field boots to change into - all that extra weight was a pain.

I've only been fishing for 50 years and STILL haven't got this sorted

Yesterday I bought some Regatta Cayman Gaiters, in Scats, for £8.99. I reckon to wear these until I get set in a swim and then take them off.

Yep, that's the one. Been doing this for a few seasons after having wet trousers and boots flapping round my ankles. It works a treat. The ones I have are quite long and come all the way up to my knees, though they can be rolled down of course, I got them from the army surplus shop. My brother just got some Trek mate gaiters and they are much shorter; I might get a pair of them too.

Muck boots for me to, you can roll the tops down if it gets really warm and of course you can get in shallow water with them too.

Crocs:D Who cares if feet get wet in summertime? In fact it's a positive benefit on a hot day!:)

Same here, I love wearing sandals and dipping my feet in the Wye when I can.

Keen and Teva make great waterproof sandals, Shimano also do some that are good, aswell as the Bivvy slip on type.

Hatter was leading the way in a stylist approach to angling for the barbel.
Us gentlemen of the angle cannot let the side down just because of a little warm weather, so I recommend a summer change from Black Brouges to Brown as being just about acceptable.
