River Record

For individual river records you don't need a witness or to have your scales checked. These are both for national records themselves. It is preferred for you to have a witness but not a requirement for a claim.

Cheers Lewis

NB, I stand to be corrected but after lengthy conversations with several people this is what I was told.

I caught a RR last season, and when Dave Mason emailed me, asking if i had a witness, which i didnt, it could not be accepted as a RR.

Well done to that young man.

Thanks everyone, i'll do my best to get this sorted over the weekend, just never thought that i would find myself in this situation. I'm supprised the photo's were any good, as i was shaking like a sh!tting dog

Thanks Steve

Crikey! When did "official" river records come into being? Brian Dowling just used to collect as much credible info from as many sources as possible! If he was happy it was listed.
:)
Isn't all getting a bit too serious?

Say what you like about the Pinn, but last year in the stretch above Pinner I saw the biggest shopping trolley I have ever seen.....

Cheers, Dave.

If I told you I really have caught dace and roach from the River Pinn none of you would believe me.

Mind you it was 46 years ago.
