    Flipping Mouse

Get some cheap metal filing cabinets for storing bait. I keep a couple of traps baited all year round, catch a few per year, thankfully I haven’t had anything damaged yet.

A little bit of tidying up.

This has happened on a river that I’ve looked at a few times, not to this scale, but similar habitat destruction. If it was closer I would be tempted to replant it myself. https://mammothwillow.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=24&products_id=60

    New footwear for winter recommendations

I use scarpa ranger gtx, they are insulated, with a pair of bridgdale heavy socks, I fish in all weathers and rarely suffer with cold feet.

    Drennan Twistlock

Drennan have given tackle shops a number of spares so it’s worth asking at your local to see if they have any. Two fixes I’ve found - Using brush on superglue on the collet, a light sanding afterwards might be needed. Add a small float rubber/tail rubber to bevelled area above the thread...

    Diawa sensor

Stick with the normal stuff, the hyper sensor isn’t as robust.

    Hiking/walking boots

I use scarpa ranger gtx autumn and winter usually get 4/5 seasons out of them. Probably wouldn’t recommend them as an all year boot tho as they are insulated. I’d try and find the exact same boot as you’ve got, if your getting 8 years from them.

    Shimano 4000d

Ive had the OC version since 16/17 season and can’t fault them

    Korum spopper

Venue specific, I wouldn’t dream of using a spomb/spod on my local rivers but they definitely have their place on venues like the Trent etc…

    Korum spopper

One of my local tackle shops had them in, they seem to be well designed and well made. They seem to have a better build quality than the original spomb. 👍🏼 from me, although I don’t think I’ll use them until trips to the Trent over autumn/winter.

    Korum’s customer care

Korum gear has been going downhill for a while. Luggage isn’t on par with there stuff from a few years back. I have had some of there older stuff for almost 10 years, looking at the newer version in the tackle shop, I doubt they would last 2 seasons. Hooks - they changed the material, still...
