I’ve been using Spectra in 40lb bs for all my River Barbel/Carp fishing for around 4 seasons, unbeatable quality for the price. Slightly thicker then more expensive braids which can only be a good thing. I use 80lb for any pike fishing so I can snap the hooks out of any snags, personally I’ll...
Do you mean the Collingham stretch or the wier itself? It can be tough in the higher pegs this time of the year, I would still use boilies but keep loose feed down until you catch it can easily be overfed.
So many dream of a Wye double let alone a 13+ I would dearly love him to replace his fisher price scales but I honestly don’t think he weighs them, just takes the pic at arms length and dreams up the highest figure he can get away with!!!!
I copied this off the internet, looks like you cook hemp normally then add salt.
HOW TO MAKE PARTICLES PVA FRIENDLY Until now, using particles in a PVA bag was almost impossible. Take one of the greatest carp attractors of all time, hempseed for example. If you dried it out a little before you...
It’s been tough the last couple of seasons, work/home dictates fishing. I work in Gloucester 5 days a week fishing overnight 2/3 of them after and before work 6pm to 5am, then it’s back home to the missus for the weekend. But fairs fair I’m away all week.
I’ve given my head a quick wobble, that was super efficient and caught me by surprise. Thank you should I get lucky again I’ll happily share, I stupidly thought it was already here before I arrived.
Wow that was quick I do apologise, I must admit to having a good look around the forum last night. I last visited several years ago and to be completely honest it wasn’t a nice experience. I unfortunately carried this forward when re visiting, please accept my apologies. I will approach the...
Out of the blue to be honest, since opening week the lowers been tough
i think it’s 3 seasons since my last Lower Severn pb of 13lb 7oz, but the beauty of the Lower is you never know when but it could be the next bite.
Thank you all this one really does mean a lot, I’m not familiar with the forum but I think the pic is on the opening page. Really not a problem it’s just I rarely visit the site and could have missed it.
Smashed my lower Severn pb with a lovely 14lb 11oz beauty, thought I would lput it on here as I’ve not been on in a long time. But I see it’s already here, a great compliment thank you. But asking first would have been appreciated.
Had a good day piking on the Wye today a 10 15 and to top it off a big girl of 26lb 11oz on whole float lesgered sardine, starting a new job tomorrow that will cut my fishing time to a minimum so today was my last chance for a big girl perfect timing.
