Savage Gear boot foot waist waders

Hi All, got a pair of above (#9) that I bought a few years ago, wore them once, then went back to neoprenes (got cold knees 😂 ). Reckon they must have stopped selling them now as I can't find a single advert for them except for the denim version, and I'm wondering what would be a fair price to...

    Hooking Maggots for Barbel

Just a thought .....Abrasion resistance is directly proportional to the diameter of any given line (the thicker, the better/tougher). Combine that fact (and it is a fact) with another fact that, thin lines tend to stretch less than thin lines, then I reckon that you have to realistically weight...

Harrison Chimera Specialist Number 2: what reel?

For me, how the rod is 'balanced' by the reel is only a really important factor when using that rod to float fish a river. Yes, if you're float fishing a river, holding the rod for hours and continuously casting, then reel/rod balance is a very important factor. But if the rod is spending 98%+...

    Braid for Barbel fishing.

It's simple really @Mike Hodgkiss, if you buy a braid then check its breaking strain, and (IME) that will be that ...it will be that breaking strain all the way through the spool you've bought. The more expensive braids (e.g. Powerpro etc) tend to usually quote closer to the actual BS, whilst...

    SOLD Lewtham "Quest" Sidecast Reel

Not used for several years now so it's time to move it on. 4.25 x 1.33" sidecast reel, presently loaded with Powerpro (regular) with a Powerpro 8 slick leader. Has a strong check and will be supplied in a neoprene case, allowing the reel to be safely encased whilst attached to rod in transit...

Compact camera with flip round screen

Hi @Chris Thomson .. I've got a totally 'as new' Lumix DC-TZ95 that's never been out of the house (another lockdown purchase!), with a soft and hard case. But I'd want £300 for it, and collect only (Bewdley area)

Custom build rods - which guides?

Just a thought ....in all the (~50) years and over all the floods I've fished in the Bridgnorth to Bewdley area, I've never felt the need to go above a TC of 2.25lb, and I most often use 2lb rods (F/S 'Barbel' and/or Nash 'Elite' Barbel). Both these easily cope with leads to ~4oz. But then I'm...

    New Drennan float rods

As far as 'line ratings' go, I'm more than happy to go higher (a lot higher), but I won't go lower. How often do anglers break a rod playing a fish rather than breaking a line. In the words of Aimee Allen "If it feels right, then just do it" 😉

    Mechano time!!!

There you go Rich, I've found a market for you. The cheapest tri-adaptor I can find now is almost £70 (inc postage from Germany) and in "used" condition. You could "bodge" some out on the lathe, aluminium and S/S, and flog them for at least £25 a pop. What's not to like eh 😂
