You’re right there Richard, I know they’re getting bigger prior to spawning, but this one obviously likes the trout diet.

I said the same, knew it was a trout, but shocked to see this thing come up 🤣

Thought I’d share this unintentional monster 15lbs brownie caught on a recent pike session on a trout Stillwater. It took a liking to a large mackeral tail and gave a cracking fight 👍

Luckily I have a good nets-man who can take a decent photo as well 👍😂

As Simon has already mentioned, the right bank through Burton is a free section from just above the railway bridge at Waterside Road down to Newton Road Park and then there is a small section at Trent lane, Newton Solney. Barbel are scarce in this area, probably better looking lower down river...
