Not got one myself but seen a thread on another forum where it has been slated by most who've used it. I read it some weeks ago so can't remember the problems although I believe the one mentioned here was definitely among them.
Personally I've been using the largest version of the fox...
Hi Stuart
I bought a large Chub universal bait bucket, one of the insulated ones here: http://www.birdstackle.com/chub/bait_carriers.htm
The lining makes it flexible use but I tend to use it for method mixes and it cleans easy. The size means I can put my boily bucket inside plus other bits...
I nearly bought a mkI off eBay a couple of weeks ago. I've seen a mates and it's a very nice bit of kit, however I'd probably have to sell one of the kids before I could afford one. Shakespeare do one with a similar mechanism, but it looks cheap and nasty by comparison.
Cheers

Fine fish William. I hope you enjoy seeing yourself up on the home page as much as my son josh did.
Got to agree john, that barb's 4oz bigger than my personal best! If my son overtakes me I may just give it up for good.

Almost posted about these myself recently. Due to a lack of fishing time I wanted a quick way of getting to know the river bed contours on a couple of stretches without getting wet.
I do tend to bully fish somewhat and have never noticed any mouth damage with any of my captures. I do tend to use small hooks in comparison to others so that may help.
I used to play fish slower and have noticed that my fish return quicker these days than when I used to play them in this way.
Well that was a surprise! Thanks for putting the pic on the main page, Josh is well chuffed.
Even though he really enjoyed the day, I don't think he realised how lucky he was to catch such a fish. Not only was it his first ever barbel but also his first ever fish and all within about an hour...
Nice one Mark, you look well chuffed and so you should.
I know how good it felt finally getting one after about 20yrs of fishing for barbel. Hopefully you won't be waiting as long as me for your second!
I've had a set of avons for years and they have always been accurate and in good working order. I used them last week for the first time in about three years. The were still in good nick, the only problem was they weighed the certain double at 9lb exactly! More likely to be my shoddy guestimate...
Great to see a proper angling programme back on TV even if it is at such an early hour on a Sunday.
Had the first two DVDs for Christmas and enjoyed them very much. Have to say though that even with the amazing underwater footage and the exceptional fish that were caught, I still believe that...
Birds don't tend to visit the garden to feed as often after rearing their young. Every year I see the same thing in mine. I believe it is during the moult they tend not to be as active so that could be the issue.
I buy live mealworms every spring from wiggly wigglers, to give the nesting...
I think we've all had occasions when things don't go according to plan (I once caught a pheasant while overhead casting), although catching four big fish isn't in my experience usually part of the process!
On people's reaction to the story, I have to say that on first read I did agree with...
Lord knows, only ever had one! Although as I have a feeling that I may be on jon's second choice venue this Friday night I've got my fingers crossed I might double my tally.
No worries.
Unfortunately for one reason or another, for quite a few years now the Kennet has been pretty murky. As a result my tests were carried out in relatively shallow water, albeit pretty fast flowing shallow water. They were also carried out in bright sunshine so the likelihood of...
hi dave thanks for your thoughts. While you have some valid points I believe that with proper testing in water clear enough to see what's going on, I do believe it would be possible to get a version working.
Not all pva dissolves at the same rate as I'm sure you're aware. Combine a slow melting...
