Perch

Went perch/roach fishing.
30+ small roach ,couple of netters on maggot.
Moved onto prawns and after 15 min had a bleedin eel.
Did eventually manage a small perch last knockings on prawn.
Nothing on l/bait.

Still searching for the big stripeys in this small lake.
Tried prawn and lobworms for roach, rudd and two fat carp ,,but no big perch yet.

Wondering what best area to try this time of year could be ,deeper water, island with overhanging trees or fairly shallow margins ?

Went perching at the weekend. First up was a 2lb 11oz and then a chunky looking 3lb PB fish. My first winter after perch and I broke my PB twice in about 40 minutes.

Had another bash on that little lake for the big perch,, no joy.
Very very soft/silty bottom, stuffed full of roach, rarely fished.
Sunday will try feeder stream to it.
