New reading material - 'Catch Cult'

Good luck with this new venture chaps .I am still disappointed that my favourite magazine ' Waterlog ' is soon to disappear . Re the price , I think that's reasonable .Inevitably there are going to be adverts in magazines , how do people think the production costs will be met ?

Re titles : How about ''The Eddy '' [ might alienate the still water angler ] Or 'Casting around ' ? Advice to editors, you must not allow articles to contain the following words , ' lump ' ,'splasher' or 'scraper' as these always annoy me . Anglers should not be referred to as 'rods', or roach as 'redfins ' . Anglers looking balefully at the fishes head in photographs should be discouraged . Apart from the above caveats , fill your boots ! :D

Spot-on Mike!

I'd that to that 'campaign' and the 'beard' when being used to describe a barbel!

Here are a couple:

Hidden Depths...

What lies beneath (probably a copyright issue with this one!)

However, the best I've come up with to reflect what seems to be the underlying theme is:

'Specimentality'

Waterlog is finishing? Why? When?

Admittedly I haven't read it for several years (I had to cancel my sub when the price nearly tripled), but it was always my favourite of all the mags, preferring as I do observational anecdotes rather than tutorial style stuff.

Anyways, good luck with the new mag. Since Coarse Angling and that general specialist one (name escapes me) went under in the late 00s, and the fact that AM, AT and IYCF are these days 99% about commercials, there's been very little available to the general specialist/all rounder other than carp and predator specific mags.
