Must be just my bread that's size of a tomato thenit is and one of my favorites too. However Terry makes a valid point. Summer rivers full of fry, it’s not the most practical of baits

Perfect for pudding, grab the golden syrup !
Fat chance of a Yorkshire being left over in this house...gannets the lot of them!Don't have to have gravy. If there is a Yorkshire left at the end of the meal cover it in maple syrup for pud..
Wow! Fantastic Simon.

self raising or plain ?One cup of flour, one cup of eggs, one cup of milk, Graham. Bosting hot oven, and I use lard in the tray. Preheat until the lard is starting to smoke.
The mixture is a bit thick, but seems to work alright.
All a Yorkshire Pud is , is a “risen “ Pankcake really . It is hard though to imagine a Yorkshire with anything other than a good gravy .Yorkshire pudding… couldn’t think of anything worse as for putting golden syrup on it… you need to be publicly flogged in your local town square

did it have gravy or maple syrup as a glug ?I'm sure I recall the Yorkshire record of 12lb 11oz from the Nidd being taken on a square of Yorkshire pud - 1977 ...
Certainly does. Jane and I have a competition on them.......she normally, now used to...winsOne cup of flour, one cup of eggs, one cup of milk, Graham. Bosting hot oven, and I use lard in the tray. Preheat until the lard is starting to smoke.

Sorry David cannot agree. A nice big Yorkshire full of local bangers and onion gravy. My idea of heaven. All a Yorkshire Pud is , is a “risen “ Pankcake really . It is hard though to imagine a Yorkshire with anything other than a good gravy .
Would you put gravy on a Pancake though ? I ask miself .
As Born and Bred Yorky I think the Roast Beef, and all the trimmings is the way forward, but Chicken, Goose, Turkey, Pork ,Lamb or Venison are equally acceptable .
Not Sausages though , or the food from hell beefburgers.
