Great Ebay/Internet deals deals.....

Guys, there are 2 ebay threads 'Ebay Madness' (for this type of post) and of course this one which is intended to inform us of 'genuine' ebay deals.;)

Please use the correct one, I am old and getting very confused.

As above I was going to mention this myself!

And can we stop having the £999.99 prices please, we should all know by now that these are holding prices or whatever they call them.

Back to normal they are cheap as Phil

I would love it if those umbrellas are decent quality, but belief in the old saying 'you get what you pay for' always puts me off even trying such offers. Could you give us an honest review of them after a bit of use please Phil?

Cheers, Dave.

no worries Dave.. tbh i'm not expecting much for £14.95 delivered was just looking for a cheapo brolly to keep the worst of the weather at bay, my present wavelock one is bullet proof but weighs a ton so was looking for something else to carry in my quiver...@ that price i thought it was worth taking a chance on...

Best brolly i ever had was a tenner job from argos my mum got me when i was about 11 or 12. I still have it - but after 20 years of being dragged all over the country the thread on the nut that holds the spike in has perished. Still - great value, and a hell of a lot better than most modern brollys. Been through about 6 or 7 branded ones from tackle shops in the last few years and they've all been sh!t

Mine's 37 years old but on its last legs! As with yours Andrew, the nut has gone, so I drilled a hole and put a nut and bolt through the spike tube for the main section to slide down to. This means it isn't height adjustable, but is secure in all but high winds (and I could peg it down if required). Fabsil has prolonged its life wonderfully!

Never really bothered with a brolly, but bought an Argos one for the garden to provide shade for some pups, and it was awful quality and 'ran' lke a slappers stocking :p
It went back.

I use nothing but an Aldi brolley in the summer and my old Brotel in the winter, so long as you are not setting up camp for the week they are more than adequate.

I've had a few of these cheap lightweight brollies over the years, they sit in my quiver very nicely and you barely notice the extra weight when walking a long way. However, every one of them has leaked after about 20 mins of rain, usually from the central point. They keep the worst off though I suppose.
