This is the first mid week fish-in ive seen on BFW, and would have loved to attend as i work weekends, but, 209 miles and a 3hr 48min drive is bit too far, gutted. :(

Sounds good Steve, i might take you up on the offer.
I shall definately be there and if anyone needs a lift from the Maidenhead area get in touch.
was going to ask you GE but i see you're going with Keith. See you there.

Derek,
It's a shame you can't make it, it is a lovely place to fish. I think that the reason a midweek date was chosen is that the venue can be VERY busy at weekends, particularly if the conditions are favourable !

Nathan,

If possible may I join the throng? It would be great to fish with Chubby One and Two.

Regards

Won't be long now....:)
I'm gonna have a taster on the kennet this week. Without trying to hijack the thread, what strength mainline would you guys be using? I'm thinking around 0.12 (approx 3lb)?? Any good hooks to nylon for maggot fishing?

Cheers.

Hi Steve, i'm trying to rearrange my work so I can attend. May get in touch as i'm just down the road from you. Will let you know.

Steve,
£lbs mainline sounds about right, 2lbish bottom and an 18/16 hook. In faster water Grayling ain't THAT fussy TBH ! One word of warning/advice those Chub do hang on a bit in the flow ;)
Looks like it's shaping up to be a good day ! Lets hope for a bit (not too much) of rain and then a nice crisp day !

Yes Cliff, so please do join us.

Mind you I have had my fishing gear nicked out of my garage overnight. The shisters took just about everything. Hoping I may be covered on the works insurance, if not I'm snookered! :-(

Hi Nathan, will be there on the 15th, may drag a couple of mates along, if there's room!

Garry

Sorry to hear about that Nathan I can imagine how devastating that would be. I hope you get a good result with the police and insurers.

Nathan, let me know if you need me to bring a spare trotting rod and pin, will do gladly mate, hope you get sorted ok.....

Nathan,
I would like to come if I can talk one of my Northern mates to share a day out with me.
Can I confirm later if there are any places still left?
Can we fly fish?
Cheers,
Chris

Chris, yes you can certainly join us. I think there would be no fly fishing tbh.

Clive and Ian, thanks for that. I have found a few spares luckily, so should be OK for trotting. I've got no floats though......

Thanks for your support and I'll PM you a list Clive, once I've sorted it out.
