What are your thoughts on the above? Given the amount of water flying down the river at the moment, I wonder if any feed put in via an open ended feeder would end up in the estuary, before the bait settles, might it not be just as well putting on a lead weight and bait? ( and more cost effective...

I got my 1st on the pin last week... OK I was fishing the tip (not clever enough to trot a float yet!) ...but still what a fantastic feeling, playing such a strong fish on a centrepin....can't wait to try again !!!!
And before the police turn up...He was on the unhooking...
I use the attachment on the Korum chair...there is some movement and if you were fishing the tip for minnows you might have a bit of difficulty detecting a bite....but Barbel...??? No worries there!!!!!!!!!!:):):)

Point taken re the unhooking mat...I do actually use one virtually all the time, on this occasion I had just wandered upstream and didn't think !

I am thinking of getting a pair of waders, (bought a Marco Cortesi centrepin...and fancy some summer trotting) but.... my budget is quite tight...has anyone any reccomendations please?

I have found it to be entertaining and a mine of helpful advice and information...
