Lol and just think mark you thought my scales were out and your right the stretch needs taking care of but holds in my opinion a good general stamp of fish. The fish in question is "Marks fish" he had her two seasons on the trott targeted it to prove its weight as 12lb plus did so and took some...

Hi all . havent been out in ages due to losing my motivation after doing a feature for the Times. I havent hered the river taff mentioned in this thread. It has to be one of the best grayling rivers i have ever fished and i have fished the test etc. cant upload any photos at the moment but their...

Hi all
I have been working away for the past few weeks in Turo and after having a look around It looks good for a bit of mullet fishing but was wondering if any one had any info about mullet fishing in this area. Any addvice would be greate. Cheers
Kev.
Even good anglers struggle sometimes Mark but as long as I learn a thing or two while blanking im not that bothered.:)
their are some cracking perch to be caught and they are their in numbers. Feed lightly though as the carp will be a nusance.
Just use insulation tape and wrap it around your finger a few times. This stops the braid slicing in to you on the cast. You .should be able to punch out heavy feeders/leads with no problems and the tape is by far the cheaper option
Colin,I should be so lucky .lol .You cant catch fish without a bait in the water and I seem to be doing hardly any fishing at the moment. The joys of having a young family is leaving little time for fishing . But their worth it honest!!:) Once again though what a fish. Cant wait to see the photos
Thats fantastic news and well done to the captor. The Wye has got the potential to throw up numerous species to monsterous proportions. All I hope is that the photo's do the fish justice and the capture is recognised by the BRFC.
Good News
Had some good news last week. I have secured a venue on the Wye for a fish in, all we need are dates so the stretch can be reserved. Price of a day ticket is seven quid. And tickets can be purchased from myself on the day. I have sent Graham a Message to inform him of the availability...
