As mentioned the loddon is a hard river I've yet to break my duck but am being impatient as I've managed 3 4 hour trips in 2 years. There are still some nice fish in the Kenner. Yes not a patch on what it used to be but fish it properly and you can get more than 3 a year easily.

Looks similar to a daiwa powermesh to me.

They smell like they'd work well to my untrained nose but I've not tried them as no where near me stocks them.

Storing spare rod tips was the reason I stopped buying multiple tip rods as I'd leave the spare top sections in the garage then they'd just get ruined buried under all my other junk I threw in there. Like the idea of making racks for them as I do still have a few spare tips.
