Thanks chaps I think I will give it a try even if it's only for a year. Was thinking about joining wasing but drive past here to get to wasing. It's a lot to pay but for years I was a carper and to be honest compared to carp syndicates £250 isn't that much. I use to pay that for a couple of...
Used to fish this years ago when it was on the burghfield lake permit. Have just come up on the waiting list and been offered a ticket. Is it worth it? It's only 5 minutes from my house which I like and used to have some nice barbel but hear nothing about it these days and at £250 it's not...
As mentioned the loddon is a hard river I've yet to break my duck but am being impatient as I've managed 3 4 hour trips in 2 years. There are still some nice fish in the Kenner. Yes not a patch on what it used to be but fish it properly and you can get more than 3 a year easily.
I use a drennan 11.6-12.6 medium feeder rod, although I am looking at selling it once the new hi-s feeder rods come out (I can't help I love freespirit rods). That's brilliant I think just a little to long on some of the tiny streams I fish so looking at getting a 10 footer.
I got £240 for a pair (1 x 1.75 and 1 x 2.25) and they were almost mint. I am very tempted to sell my current set ups and try and get a pair of 1.75's as they were lovely rods I just preferred the old build with part duplon part cork.
Just brought myself the vass 175 smock in both lightweight and winter edition that's my xmas pressie to myself sorted. Told my missus not to get me anything as previously mentioned buy myself what I need. However have a long list that the missus wants from me.
Unfortunately since going self employed and having the romantic idea of keeping a rod in the back of the van and popping off for a few hours here and there hasn't happened. It's 6-7 day 70+ hour weeks. So I've brought a lot of gear that's just not going to get used. So have the following for...
Storing spare rod tips was the reason I stopped buying multiple tip rods as I'd leave the spare top sections in the garage then they'd just get ruined buried under all my other junk I threw in there. Like the idea of making racks for them as I do still have a few spare tips.
I'm a patient person I can wait as you said they do pop up every now and then but can count on 1 hand the amount I've seen for sale on here and eBay combined in 3 years of looking.
