jsut seems logical if 15years ago there was a 16 caught there must be a few bigger now especially with more hnv bait going in,i think its a matter of time before someones has one and it appears in the press.
what do you guys think is the biggest barbel caught(unofficialy/not claimed) my mate said he saw a 17 come out below diglis couple of years ago weighted infront of him, and plus miles of barley fished lower severn i beleive theres got to be some uncaught monsters out there 17-18lbers?
would...
have been trying with my tip low lately and been working well but can't decide its its better or not, just wondering what people prefer in different situations/connecting with more bites etc?
caught a nice 7lber last aumtmn on my local stour on bread is quite slow would imagine be hard to cast and also keep on hook on bigger faster rivers like the severn
one thing i know in normal/low summer conditions barbel will hide in theire'homes' deep holes ,snags, undercover etc then venture out at dusk is this the same in winter?
has anyone got any info they care to share ,looking at finding out there behaviour in winter, ie how much and how far theyll move and what times of the day what times they feed etc, anything really would be great
cheers
