Polarized sunglasses

I have Chris Cheshire Specials.

They are simply brilliant. I would show them off to you all but I haven't caught any decent fish to show with them like Richard🤣🤣🤣🤣

I just ordered a pair of these photocronic polaroids....

I bought a pair of them which are just plain sunglasses a couple of years back and they have been really good. I've left them on the passenger seat in the car a few times now and my mrs has sat on them and squashed them completely out of shape, last time that happened was yesterday, but as usual they bent back into shape easily.
I'm looking forward to getting these chamelion polaroids and see how they work.
Personally I would never pay a lot for a pair of sunglasses as i'm always breaking them. If I do break cheaper ones it's just annoying and they are replaced at a minimal cost, if I ruin an expensive pair (which will happen) it is more than annoying!

Last season I was using cheap clip ons, from Amazon, to go over my prescription glasses. I think I paid £10 or £12 for a set of four different colours - two browns, a grey and a green. They work perfectly well. I have some new prescription glasses for this season, from vision express. Will see (🤓) how I get on with them.

Has anyone tried Maui green lenses yet in their glasses.

My god!! The colour enhancement is staggering through them

This is interesting Rich.

I still have a virtually unsused pair of MJ Offshore Wraparound shades that I bought from Chris several years ago. At the time I was using contact lenses and therefore ordered unprescribed lenses, but I stopped with the contacts shortly after buying the glasses. I did speak to Chris a year or two back about getting them retro-fitted with prescription lenses. At the time he mentioned that he could provide Maui Jim original polycarbonates but that they were crazy expensive or alternatively he could also provide own brand ones much cheaper.

Sounds like your suggesting that the MJ’s might be worth the extra? Are you also suggesting that the green gives better colour rendition than the other colours? When I originally ordered the Offshores I opted for bronze, which in hindsight was probably a poor decision: quite dark if I remember right.

Incidentally, Chris doesn’t seem to notice when he’s had and personal messages sent through the forum so if anyone has direct contact details would they mind to PM me them?

I’ve only recently got the Maui green lenses in a pair i bought extremely cheap secondhand. I sent them off for new lenses and still got them all in for under £90.
My other pair are Maui ht lenses which are superb for low light conditions. They act like an amber lens but with superior optical clarity being glass.
The green lenses enhance colours like nothing else I’ve ever tried. I’ll put some pictures up shortly. Hopefully my phone camera will do them the same justice as my eyes
