I have been trialing Gamma Edge, in the BFW shop, in the 11lb bs.
Had 4 fish for 144lb without problem.

Howard, Trilene is great line, not sure why Vanish was so bad.
Found it great for helping to avoid tangles when casting far with a heavy feeder and a small bait on a long hook length. Had no need for any kind of anti tangle rig sleeve etc.
That's because it is stiff as old boots! Seems like the barbel don't seem to mind though
Makes you wonder why we use braid?
All in all I think we make too much of this rig business. We should maybe talk a lot more about barbel location and behaviour.

I've tried Gamma too. It is pretty good, very reliable.
I still have a soft spot for Grand Max Riverge though. It's just so soft, yet never had any problems with it's abrasion resistance.
Have found both Drennan Flyleader and Kryston Incognito to be reliable when barbel fishing, also worth mentioning only use knotless knots, figure of 8 loops and Palomar knots with this material.
Grand Max Riverge for me too. It seems more supple (as Damian says) than other fluoros I've tried and has a low diameter for the strength.
