That’s what I was thinking too , I bought a couple new ones and added Weston speed caps as was gonna use them for carp , but decided to keep my shimanos now so got a pair of new tournaments surplus to requirements unfortunately

Does anyone use the tournament 5000’s for barbel , or just too big ?

I had the mk3 years ago and was most definitely 100% waterproof, and very warm , obviously they don’t make them anymore and yes they are upto mk7 now , I’d just like to know if anything currently available is as good as the old one

Ive got a pb and a best .... pb is 16lb exactly , best is a fish that currently holds the river record at 16.02 ... though was smaller than this when i caught it, both fish are from the Bristol Avon:)

David, ive got a mk2 RW, and i love it.... bought mine from Ray himself,and he even showed me how to use it.Mine is used mostly for 'static' type fishing, Very easy to cast as far as you'll ever need , and when playing a fish the reel feels good and solid. Had mine over a year now and cant say...
