well, I definitely choose to ignore. I mean, come on, there's pictures of tar clogged lungs on every packet. We all know what it's doing...give us some credit!
I think we should have a group 'giving up' thread where everyone who wants to quit can do so on the same day and report their progress. I do want to give up, but, strange as it may sound to non smokers, I enjoy it too much. Listening to the scare stories and non-smokers advice just sounds like a...
Cheers for the info Ray, and Andy, I have every intention of fishing into dark as long as my nerves allow me. Without sounding like a complete wuss, I'm not a huge fan of sitting on the bank into the small hours. :o
Cheers for all the replies guys.
There's definitely a few to try in the future there. I did an hour or so searching on the internet today and found this one...

As above really...I've got next weekend off work and fancy getting away for a couple of days to myself. I'll be taking my caravan and don't really want to travel too far. Any suggestions?
I've been doing some googling, and found Lucksall Park on the Wye which is my only option at the mo.
Well, I believe he has a point there. I suppose that could be classed as advertising. I don't want to sound like a 'nit-picker', but everyday recommendations, may be interpreted as advertising.
Lets test this.....
I happen to know of somewhere that sells wooly hats for only £1 inc...
Well, that COULD explain the 'wobbling' (almost vibrating) of the quiver tip when this has happened. I always thought (hoped!) it was bigger fish playing with the bait, but i suppose lots of small fish would have the same effect?
Furthermore, I have been 'catching' LOTS of minnows lately. At...
Looks like its those bloomin' eels then! Must admit, my first thought was crayfish!
No prize for guessing i'm afraid, but yes....its a duo barbel lite.
Hi all!
I was fishing the Teme at Cotheridge the other day and was amazed when i saw a decent sized barbel flashing mid water. I continued to watch and it just kept flashing as it swam towards where i was sitting...and then continued back out in one big circle.
Is there a possiblility of...
As above.....
I'm off to do some camping there on Saturday night and looking forward to a bit of night fishing.....if the wife allows.
Does anyone have any recommendations for rigs, methods, swims etc? I usually fish just below the wier but never seem to have much joy.
Any help will be...
What a great thread! Its good to hear the different approaches to the same swim. Us less experienced anglers can learn a lot from threads like this....theres too much talk of otters for my liking lately....
Got pretty soaked myself last night....forgot to take my waterproofs.:o It just started to clear as I left...and what a sunset it was too! :)
Logic would suggest overfishing might be the cause (or one of the causes) for the poor end to last season. The fact that they have had three months...
After looking through the River Reports section, it appears to me that this season is starting well! I've had three very good sized barbel (big considering the small river i'm fishing) so far in two sessions. That's considered a very good start for me! I've also encountered several...
