If items are really cheap at AD then they are almost out of stock. If you see a bargain you think you might want, buy it, it won’t be there much longer.
I’m a member of 6 clubs and 5 of them have stated no price rises due to the current financial situation. The other, which happens to be the most expensive by some distance, has announced a 20% increase from £150 to £180.
I agree with Tim, a lot of fishing is very cheap but 20% in the current...
Two years ago I attended the Notts Piscatorials AGM which included a presentation of long service badges. A series of increasingly aged members went up to accept their awards culminating in two gents who joined the Society before I was born. I was 67 at the time.
Andrew, it’s amazing how it can vary. Yes some days, mainly weekends it can be very busy but I’ve fished there a couple of times midweek and there’s only been 2 or 3 of us on the whole length.
Once you’ve had a fish in it and especially if you pour water over the fish then it’s guaranteed both sides of the mat will be wet. Unless you are fishing on a flat bank I’m np not sure it’ll be a good seat either, I think you’ll spend more time trying not to slip off as the material is quite...
Stoke weir isn’t day ticket. The west bank is Ashfield members only and the east bank, I believe, is Notts AA. Fiskerton can be an excellent venue, tickets in advance from the village post office. Like the rest of the river its in desperate need of some rain.
It won’t collapse Richard as I’ve also put an 8mm machine screw through both tube sections. But you’re right, it’s not as strong as welding but I failed to find anyone local to do the job so well have to see.
I had a similar problem with a Korum X25 chair, which was 14 months old when it failed. I was looking online for a local aluminium welder that I might persuade to repair it when I found a YouTube video showing aluminium brazing with a propane torch. Long story short, I bought a couple, stripped...
Mark, I had 2 tench sessions before this cold spell landing 7 tench. Six of them were caught on maggots, 5 on an inline feeder rig and 1 on the float. The other took a mini boilie on a method feeder.
I can recommend the Barnsley stretch at Fiskerton, day time fishing only but plenty of fish get caught during the day. This is the What3Words code for the turning off the road to the fishery car park - ///richly.gums.overheat
That’s got nothing to do with Collingham or Ashfield, who have the opposite bank. Boat fishing is allowed on the tidal. The only people who could enforce the signs is the CRT.
Yesterday was supposedly the lull between the two storms and for most of the day it was a lovely sunny day. Then this came out of nowhere -
It only lasted 3-4 minutes but it wrecked one guys brolly, terrifying his 7 yo son and blew over 2 sets of rods.
