I've caught daytime barbel on the Besthorpe downstream pegs, not loads as they seem to switch on overnight. As has been said you can drive all the way and park behind the pegs, its then just a case of picking one that suits you, theres lots to pick from.

As per the title, I'm currently on my 4th Korum one and I have a BFW one also. I'm convinced that the Korum ones are designed to fail after a certain amount of heavy use, thats if you dont lose them in the many snags on the Trent. So i wondered if anyone had found a cheap Chinese version online...

Hi Paul, i'm no expert, but have caught plenty trotting on the wye. My setup is usually 8lb Hyper sensor main line to a 6lb hook link. Floats - i've found heavier better than lighter as they are easier to control, usually i'm using 5 or 6 gram floats annything top and bottom the you can hold...

thanks mike, i use hemp nearly every trip, but just haven't prepared any for ages. I'm puzzled why the uncooked hemp is so expensive when sometimes monster particles (i think) sell prepared hemp for £1 per kilo in their sales

if you had 1 kg of dry hemp then approx how much prepared hemp would you have once it was cooked ?
