Anyone got one ?
Looks ideal for some of these flatter banks on the Trent or some close season carping
But what if I want to fish a tighter swim and only have the day shelter with me , I keep asking myself 🤔
Any feedback greatly appreciated
Price around £95 same as a decent. 50” brolly
The ratchet spring on my Youngs S/L pin is coming adrift onto the backplate all the time , can’t see a way of adjusting it , I generally push it back on the pawl with some forceps from the outside , but it’s getting a pain now
Ends up like this …
Then I push it back on ending up like this...
I’m looking at buying my first centre pin , initially for some grayling fishing this winter and then hopefully when I get some decent float water for barbel.
Is there a pin that’ll do both ?
Budget is under a £100 and to pair it with a Acolyte plus (14ft) for grayling chub etc
I already...
Selling my Simms Slick fishing jacket , hardly worn no rips tears and all zips work , bought in Canada about 8 years ago and very expensive!
Its main use is for Steelhead fishing but obviously can be used for any kind of salmon /trout fishing .
( make a great wading jacket for any species ;) )...
Just been talking to a staff member in Bobco and he’s telling me all reels will now come with manual bail arms ?
some kind of legislation about premature closing of the bail arms while doing a long cast .
i was playing about with a Daiwa Castizm 25BR and sure enough it had manual closing of...
I’ve decided i don’t really need 4 4000 baitrunners , so these are up for sale , immaculate condition with box’s paperwork etc
loaded with new ESP Synchro 12lb line
£160 posted
Just thought I’d share my experience of the above after breaking my 2 month old 11ft Torrix the other night , just threading line through the rings like I’ve done for the last 50 odd years , reaching to pull a bit more line of the spool and that sickening crack was heard of carbon shattering...
Anyone ever lose the end cap from the Twistlock landing net handle ?
I’ve lost mine somewhere and contacted Drennan but no response , I contacted my local AD where I bought it from and they contacted Drennan but didn’t get anywhere .
I'm wondering if anyone as done the same and come up with a...
Anyone know of a decent moon phase app that’s free ? (iOS)
I remember the old Abu Garcia book with three fishes for good fishing
one fish for poor that used moon phases for reference .
I think it plays a decent sized part of the jigsaw we all try to put together on a weekly basis along with...
I’ve started making tentative enquires into getting a 11ft Torrix built ( Chas Burns )
hopefully for the new river season in June
before I commit as anyone got one for sale ?
So as a kid i was always taught to keep any form of light off the water , and I still use this advice 50 years on , but with todays mega high powered head torch’s it seems most stretches of river look like something from the blitz in east end London circa 1940 , I’ve talked to a few seasoned...
Just acquired a used 400D and I’ve noticed the baitrunner clicker is much quieter than my other 400D which is nearly new , as I use this as my “alarm “ when distracted is there way to get it to make more noise ? The reel is in good shape and obviously been looked after and no other issues .
thanks
Hi new member :)
so I’ve decided to up my game for the barbel and I’m looking at a new pair of reels and rods for that matter
I’m really fancying the 4000 aero bait runners despite the line behind the spool issues
I see they have released an updated FB version
anyone have a play with them ...
