    Naming stretches.

    I have always assumed that named stretches are just a blind to throw people off the trail of the real venue!! Guess that says more about what a sneaky sod I am than anything else. Personally I wouldn't dream of even hinting at a stretch on an open forum.

    Looking to acquire new barbel rods

    The ML 3-8s were very special indeed - I suspect I would still be using them now if they hadn't been stolen. The rods I have been using for the past 10-15 years are built on Harrison blanks and I won't be changing anytime soon.

    Thames at Datchet

    Hi Paul, I used to live in Datchet - fished the stretch once and, although I liked it aesthetically, the broken glass in the car park and abundance of our travelling friends walking around left me looking over my shoulder all the time and I didn't enjoy the experience so never returned. Steve
