    Dick Walker - The Legend

Centenarian Dick Walker On Oak Apple day, May 29 1918 Mrs Elsie Walker gave birth to a son, his name was Richard Stuart Walker, affectionately known as Dick. Today Oak Apple Day 29th May 2018 Dick would have been a centenarian, without doubt the most charismatic angler born. Why not take out ten...

    Night Floats

George I have found a torch light to be ideal if laying on or stet pegging, used this idea since the early 1950's, it was also an idea of Dick Walker. Still good today.

Ea riverbank tree and vegetation habitat destruction..message to all.......

I have few words for the EA they are not fit for purpose. Fisheries should be a separate entity run by professionals, if we have to pay extra for a licence and we were to get a good service, I feel it would be money well spent.

I wear HAIX boots made in Germany, must say not had a problem and the grip is really good and doesn't hold the mud like other boots, you can also walk through 4"-5" of water. My other boots are Aigle outdoors, its also important to wear very good socks, I buy my socks from good outdoor shops and...

    Tony Miles

I was on the Ribble chub fishing when I heard that Tony had passed away while fishing, I was truly shocked at hearing the news I just packed up and returned home. I’ve known Tony and his family for many years, rating him alongside Dick Walker, not only was he a great writer, speaker and angler...

    The Angling Trust.

Graham I wasn’t getting at anyone just giving my view, I’m the first to respect other people’s views, even if I don’t personally agree with them that’s called democracy, If anglers don’t want to support AT they can of course support Fish Legal, a strange name, I would like to see it...

    The Angling Trust.

I’ve just been reading the readers comments Ref AT, I well remember there many negative accounts about the ACA over the years. I often got told I was daft to donate so much money and effort to the organisation, IE when I was on the ACA council it would cost me around £150-00 to attend each...

Code for Theft of Fishing Rights

I have been enforcing this for some weeks, it’s some of the best legislation in years for combatting fish thieves. We should all be thankful for Dilip in taking on the project. As I tell those I catch they will end up with a criminal record when found guilty. In Lancashire the police are really...

What's going to work? Team work!

I have fished part of the length of the River Ribble Long Preston Deeps for both for trout and chub, when a stretch was put on the market some years ago it was Bradford City AA that purchased the length. Everyone can buy a Bradford City AA permit for around £50-00 a season which includes many...

Nathan well said, I couldn't agree more. Without the AT I doubt if anything would have been done about cormorants. Regards Martin
