Dave, if I were you I'd go to Hopkins & Holloway and get some new epoxy finish, the older stuff is prone to not setting uniformly...sometimes it will set far too quick, other times not at all....and they usually discolour. As Mike says whippings will darken, so its worth doing a test sample...

The best tip for general fishing on this particular rod would be: Drennan DRX 3oz Fast Taper carbon Tip you can also use any of the other Drennan tips but I wouldn't go below 2 1/2 oz fast taper or over 3oz fast taper, if you do you may as well use a normal Avon style "hollow top"

We Had a very similar experience with some Leinster fans in Cardiff at a European champs a few years ago, round the bars before the game & bugger me if we didn't bump into the same group afterwards, so it was off around the town again, brilliant lads, brilliant night, and a hangover to remember!

I used to follow Liverpool, but Brighton was my local team, I used to watch Brighton regularly, but I know i'll never go back, it has absolutely no appeal to me these days. I watch Rugby, both league and Union, that's my choice, I think that while the supporters are just as passionate in rugby...

Ooh dear, I used to play & watch too, but with all the diving & lack of respect for the officials (& each other) I couldn't stand it anymore... Perhaps it would be better if soccer took a leaf from Rugby's ethics, the referee is 'Sir' and is given the respect he deserves, & a yellow card is 10...
