Might be worth looking at the Penn bait runners of which there is a review on this site. Having used Penn reels in the states for Tarpon i couldn't fault them. I personally have used Abu Suveran 4000's for the last 14yrs and they are superb, occasionally come up on e-bay but quite pricey.

Why not try the 'lone angler' pole. I bought one just before christmas and used it a few times in the floods, excellent bit of kit.

Have you tried ''Sharpes'' of Aberdeen, they do the whitlock frames and a number of different meshes. Aimed mainly at the salmon anglers but i think they may have what you need.

The last 2 rods that i've bought have been from Peregrine rods, custom built rods to the highest spec. They have a web site to have a look at but best to give them a call.

Just ordered some of their ultimate feeder mix , as did a mate, I rate this as one of the best on the market. They have run out of the large elips though. Shame as they were very good as well.
