    OMC magic twig

Fast forward to 3.40 to see how it picks up weed and towards the end to observe how strong those plastic arms appear to be. Other YouTube reviews are no doubt available.

    Peregrine No 4.

Alec, I have two Peregrine rods and they are not made to spend their lives in a display cabinet! Get a reel on it and enjoy it.... because if you don't, somebody else eventually will.

Singles / goal post set ups

Simon has got this wrong in this case as we can see but personally I'm all for criticism if the poster can give me good reason to change what I'm doing. I know you're supposed to give lots of positives before a negative when coaching/teaching somebody but forums like this don't work that way...

Singles / goal post set ups

Sometimes there's a deep channel with a rocky drop-off. Other times you can be fishing from the top of a high bank (nowhere suitable at water level) and keeping your lines above any bankside vegetation. If fishing two rods (one upstream and one down) it reduces the chances of a fish crossing...

    Making a return to Barbel

If you're fishing a river you used to fish over a decade ago, it's possible that the stock of barbel ain't what it used to be. If you blank, that could be the reason rather than your rigs! Please keep us updated on your progress.

    river reports

One thing to bear in mind: over the years, how many members of this forum have never posted anything, but have gleaned information that has put them onto fish? A classic example is the thread 'photos of river scenes.' We are all willing to post photos of the wonderful river stretches that we...

    Ticket price increase.

If you are happy with the way a club has been run for years and trust the committee, I think that whilst a big increase comes as a shock (if you don't keep up with meeting minutes etc) you will probably find it's justified.

    VERY Waterproof jacket

When you say Goretex leaks, have you actually done a test with a jacket fastened up over a pair of step ladders and sprayed it with a hosepipe? As you will no doubt be aware (some may not) once a jacket loses its repellency or the pores get blocked with dirt, the jacket is no longer breathable...

    global warming

Cheers Graham. I'm suffering from a winter virus and can't get out fishing, which may account for the harbinger of doom post!😁 The human race will make progress but I still feel that those who are currently worst off will continue to suffer disproportionately, before any improvements come their...
