    Chimera rods

Great rods - used C2's for years. Tempted to build myself a pair. Cheers Bob

    Your first barbel photo

Think I know that swim - also used to use hemp and tares and occasionally get crashed by the inevitable barbel. Used to fish the Chew at Keynsham using trotted cheese for roach. Great fishing in the area and regularly fished the K&A and lower Bristol Avon. Cheers Bob

    Your first barbel photo

Not my first (that was from Claverton near Bath while fishing for eels) but a early fish from Bath AA water. Bristol Avon, Bath AA, Haydens Field, circa 80s. Cheers Bob

Re;hi, and info wanted on joining seven sisters syndicate

Used to fish it when it was part of Glamorgan anglers Symonds Yat East/Biblins. Really enjoyed my years there - then something happened......... Wish you luck in your quest. Cheers Bob

    Shimano purist barbel is back.

Slightly different but I have three Shimano Purist Tench Float - which are nice rods to go with my 'quite a few' Drennan Tench Floats. Cheers Bob

Harrison interceptor su float rod question.

Interceptor 12'9" Float was/is a three piece rod, whereas the 1.75 (and 1lb 10 oz) are 12' 2 section rods. I kept all mine except the float rod and replaced it with a GTI SU 13' which offered a wider choice and are available with regarding length and strengths - in some cases a standard, SU...

Best 12ft low water/small barbel rod?

I have a few of these from years ago and made quite a few for others. Torrix 12' 1.25 test with two tips - one standard with a sight painted tip, the other tip modified to take plug in taper quivers glass fibre or carbon. Good as a near all round rod for chub and barbel. Done similar conversions...

    Shelf life boilies

Think the actual one has been discontinued but similar versions are around. Sorry. Similar one: Vac Sealer...

    Shelf life boilies

Get a dry wet one worth the extra. Vacuum Sealer 3 in 1 Automatic Food Sealer, One Touch Vacuum Sealing System, Dry/Wet Vacuum Packing Machine with Cutter and Vacuum Roll, Aicok. Around £35. Potassium Sorbate is widely used as a preservative - even in hand rolling tobacco. Cheers Bob

Advice on a medium feeder, winklepicker, light Avon type rod. Rivers.

No quiver but Chimera Avon 11' 1.25 might fit the bill.

Advice on a medium feeder, winklepicker, light Avon type rod. Rivers.

Had my last lot (2 weeks ago) delivered in just over a week - brilliant but had to pay the bill a bit earlier than I reckoned.:D Cheers Bob

2 x new i-powers listed in the BFW shop

I wasn't going to comment but If anybody is in any doubt regarding price then it's fairly easy to work out. Go to a rod building parts supplier and do the calculations. Parts have increased in price generally due to a number of reasons and courier prices have escalated seemingly beyond...

Drennan Acolyte Distance feeder at 13' is a 'nice' rod.

Harrison rods - Chimera 3 vs 2lb Torrix

Maybe useful: Test Curves and try them where you can. Cheers Bob

Harrison rods - Chimera 3 vs 2lb Torrix

Yes, I have Torrix 2lb, Chimera 3 and Torrix 2.5 and would agree with what has been said by Joe. However personally prefer the Torrix most of the time for my venues. Cheers Bob
