Harrison interceptor su float rod question.

Does anyone know what's the line rating or test curve of the Harrison interceptor float rod? Someone told me it is build with 1.75lb blank? Is it true? The rod doesn't feel like a float rod, more like a specimen blank build like a float rod? Thanks.

My understanding is that it is the standard Interceptor blank with different ringing. My memory says the blank was supposedly 1lb 10oz test.

At one stage Harrison made a specialist 2 piece 13ft float rod with a 1 - 1.25 test curve. It was Co-designed by Chris Turnbull for Bawburgh tench fishing.

Interceptor 12'9" Float was/is a three piece rod, whereas the 1.75 (and 1lb 10 oz) are 12' 2 section rods. I kept all mine except the float rod and replaced it with a GTI SU 13' which offered a wider choice and are available with regarding length and strengths - in some cases a standard, SU (stepped up) and SU SU (double stepped up).

Still occasionally use my 12' 1.75 Interceptors and IMO still great rods.

Cheers
Bob

Thanks Bob, it is a 3 piece rod. It is really a powerful rod and feels nothing like the float rod, feels like it is build with 1lb 10oz blank at least? I even used it with a 2oz feeder once.

That's my understanding as well. A longer interceptor blank with float ringing.

Sorry to hijack Huanzhou but Bob, do you know what the test curve/line rating is on the The Gti SU Plus float rod ( the one up from the GTI SU ) ?
