I've been using Airflo G3 in its various guises, & the standard G3 seems to be pretty robust, I've had a good few double figure carp in it floater fishing this summer, though you have to grease it so it stays up...
There's a decent stretch downstream of Bridgenorth just below the caravan park, my wife and I have had some success there before.
Just ask in the local tackle shop....
There is also a good stretch upstream which is run by the British Legion, and used to produce lots of smaller fish....

Alan,
No PM received but i've sent you one....
Glad its sold (hopefully) its a lovely looking rod, and a waste sitting in my rod cupboard as i'm never going to use it...

I had a Prodigy 1.75lb, but it felt very top heavy so in the end I gave it to my wife, who managed to break it while trying to get free from a snag....strange where it went though...two breaks, either side of the joint.....
She now has an I-Power which I felt was too soft for me in the tip...
I still have this rod gathering dust in my tackle cupboard.....
12ft Insight RB-SU, the stepped, version of the Insight rods, not quite what I want, and over-gunned for where I fish,Brand new with the plastic still on the handle.
Would suit the Tidal river gang on the Trent or Severn
£115...
I seem to only ever use the 2 1/2 oz carbon tip on mine, it suits the rod well..
Ive been playing with the 1 1/2 lb version for floater fishing for carp....performs admirably
5 doubles so far....
keep it clean and tidy it will outlast you......lovely rods....

Backwinding
I'm with Trevor,
I set the clutch a bit lighter than need be, anti reverse on, and use finger pressure to control the fish, works for me .....
If you think of it like this....
How many people have seen a live Badger? not too many I suspect, but there are bloody thousands of them out there...
If there were 1000th the number of Pumas say, then there'd be 1000 less opportunities to see one.
I like you have seen the tracks of a Big cat...
