It depends on the river and where you want you bait to stay positioned not all rivers are the same so sometimes you need 8oz

Fish as you would normally I normally use a pva stocking with pellets and either a boillie or pellet on the hook Sometimes using a feeder on the upstream rod to attract fish Also I would take a maggot feeder and use maggots especially in the daytime and into dark and/or float rush for them
