As from tomorrow a good proportion of the Trent is shut for angling due to low water the heat and low oxygen levels a lot of clubs have take the steps of shutting their waters If you really feel the need to go (which I disagree with) you had better check wherever your heading is open

You also have foxcovert fishery where you can book pegs and park behind them although this is the tidal Perhaps you might consider joining a club Notts Feds has some decent waters although a bit of a walk to pegs but they are decent stretches for about £60 a year

The club have reduced the fees to £15 for the next two years as a gesture with the option to make an extra payment to support restocking when they can The club needs the support from members and £15 a year is a small price to pay

It’s only part of the river further upstream is not affected by the seals and hopefully they will get sorted and a restocking program will be done

its a shame you didnt join scunthorpe years ago now its a two year wait for a night permit nowadays but its worth the wait theres always notts feds you can night fish their waters notts aa night permit at extra cost

I had a reply from the club today regarding night permits see below

From my understanding you only need the night permit for the Clifton stretch the laugherton stretch which is dayticket also you can fish at night anyway Perhaps the night permit is for people who live nearby in Lincoln don’t know where you live
