Fish as you would normally I normally use a pva stocking with pellets and either a boillie or pellet on the hook Sometimes using a feeder on the upstream rod to attract fish Also I would take a maggot feeder and use maggots especially in the daytime and into dark and/or float rush for them

As from tomorrow a good proportion of the Trent is shut for angling due to low water the heat and low oxygen levels a lot of clubs have take the steps of shutting their waters If you really feel the need to go (which I disagree with) you had better check wherever your heading is open

You also have foxcovert fishery where you can book pegs and park behind them although this is the tidal Perhaps you might consider joining a club Notts Feds has some decent waters although a bit of a walk to pegs but they are decent stretches for about £60 a year

The club have reduced the fees to £15 for the next two years as a gesture with the option to make an extra payment to support restocking when they can The club needs the support from members and £15 a year is a small price to pay
