Middle trent advice

Gary Wagstaff

Senior Member
Going to have a 24hr session on Midland AC stretch first visit this week.122 miles and 2 1/2 hour journey
Was thinking of a bag lead and boilie approach or would a feeder and pellet set up be the way to go.
Thanks for any advice for the session

Hi Gary, I’ve just started with the Trent so I’m not an expert by any means but I have been using cage feeders 4-6oz with ground bait, pellets, broken and whole boilies with hemp casting every 20mins pretty standard I believe? Good luck 🤞🏻 and let us know how you get on? Mate 👍🏻

Fish as you would normally I normally use a pva stocking with pellets and either a boillie or pellet on the hook
Sometimes using a feeder on the upstream rod to attract fish
Also I would take a maggot feeder and use maggots especially in the daytime and into dark and/or float rush for them
