    Floats

I also found it strange that lying on it was best despite being contra to advice. I now sleep sat up most of the night as that no longer works. My GP has the injury caused by cricket, a mate of mine from 'floater fishing for carp', carp fishing obviously bad for you :p

I assume it is not getting any better or worse then? :(

    Floats

No. it just drags on. I've met a few people with the injury including my GP! Hopefully more injections next week

    Floats

Yes that's exactly it, the pain at night can be excruciating and means a decent night is never on the cards. Good luck with the op and keep me posted as to how it goes! Cheers Andy

It's 5 months now, steroid injections have worn off and it's as bad as it ever was!

    Floats

Thanks Derek, it’ll be OK eventually! Why don’t you let me know when you want to fish and just cancel if the river is out? Recently winter has been good for the most part for either barbel or chub as we haven’t had much snow.

    Floats

Hi Derek, good to hear from you. I have no plans for a BFW fish-in but we could sort one. I would suggest in the winter TBH. You and your brother are welcome anytime just message or call me. Both knees are functioning brilliantly, I cannot believe the change they have made, no peg is too far :)...

    Harrison Torrix 12ft 1.25lbs T.C

I have one, it's a great rod and no problem with double figure barbel. I bought it some years ago off the recommendation of two well respected anglers. I've had barbel to just under 14lb from the Warwickshire Avon only using 1.75's in winter with heavier leads. I now use a Cadence 1.25lb which...

    River carp in deep water

I've been doing similar on the Warwickshire Avon. I was recommended tiger nuts and hemp by a couple of guys. Easy to use and avoids bream. Nearest I have come to actually catching one this season was late afternoon on floating crust. Just got a few feeding before another club member came...

Fishing for barbel with Cralusso Floats - Richard Easom

I used the Cralusso floats a lot when they first came out. With respect to the Surf I found it did fish big baits for big fish very well however, it needs to be set up correctly for the flow and depth or it won’t fish correctly. The flow has to be even, no boils or change of pace etc or it just...

    Small river barbel rod

Have a look at the Cadence 11ft 1.5lb, it's a true 1.5lb test curve and a medium action. A real whopper stopper when you need it to be. Cadence 11ft 1.5lb

    Polarized sunglasses

I purchased some Maui Jim’s from Chris a few years ago and they are great. The ones I wear most though are my Optilabs Optilabs Fishing Sunglasses I prefer these as they’re not just polarised but also photochromic so they adapt with the light levels.

    Groundbait catapult

I do a lot of float fishing and feeder work using groundbait and I find these great, they will of course do hard as well as softer groundbait. The different elastic does allow for accurate feeding as it states. Spare pouches and elastic easily available. Drennan Softfeed Catapult
