Which Landing Net

theres also a search function for the forum... this question comes up on what seems to be a weekly basis...

Forum Police are in town again! ;)

Sean, i've had a Gardner barbel specialist net for the last 3 years and its still going strong!

Still a great resource of info though! I am not trying to discourage questions but just pointing out all that valuable information. As for landing net handles and nets there are very few bombproof ones out there all the ones mentioned above have their problems. I would consider a Drennan or this one Powerstretch
Or Conoflex
And as for nets if you like spoons http://www.leslies-luton.co.uk/store/product/2194732/INSIGHT-WANDERER-LANDING-NET/
All reasuringly expensive but it will stop you buying multiple **** items.

I have just been converted to the Drennan Twistlock and the Korum 30" Latex Barbel Spoon.

I was using the spoon in some very fast water and was still able to hold it with one hand:) well chuffed:D

I got them both from Matchman Supplies with free delivery!!

Just remember to undo the nuts in the spreader block and then glue them back in place! They will come undone.

Thanks for that Clive.
I have some thread lock so i'll put a drop on them:)

Some useful things do come out of repeated Threads:)

Clive

Do you have a insight net? am I right in thinking there are no screws on the spreader block but moulded instead?

Got the insight net, very sturdy. use it for piking too.
pretty sure there are no screws etc to fail.
triangular nets with string or wire between the arms are not great in weedy swims. where a spoon type works a treat.

Geoff what size net is that is it a tri net????

Found it, is it the 36 one??? Is the handle glass or carbon????

not really, just gets a bit dull reading the same stuff over and over... river reports / social board seems to be the only interesting stuff these days

I seem to remember you asking for alot of help when you first joined Sam...dont knock others for doing the same. If you think its boring, dont post/read. Simples! :p

See you at Hampton Loade :D

and i wouldn't say much of it was a lot of help. steveo and deans advise was the only useful stuff i remember/use every time i go... and actually going 3/4 times a week has taught me a lot more still :D

That smacks of ungratefulness Sam. I would read it through again! Although Dean and Steve can give specific advice on your location and are both decent guys and decent anglers the quote you just put up is at best childish.
