W. Avon
Teme
Great Ouse

I've also fished;

Lost barbel on Bristol Avon and on St Pats, blanked on the Wye. Compared to most on here I seem to have fished very few rivers. Hope to fish the Wye again and the Trent next season.

Thames
Colne

We’ve got others on our list but the h/Avon & d/stour are keeping us occupied.
Some of you guys have massive lists wow is all I can say 👍

To be honest Robert, a lot of the rivers on my list don't mean anything to me, they were fished a time or two on family holidays as a kid. Sometimes not within the rules...

Only half a dozen rivers on that list I've spend any meaningful time getting to know which is what really counts in my book. If I was lucky enough to have the Stour and Havon on my doorstep I wouldn't want to look elsewhere!

Some good barbel rivers there Mark where you haven't fished for them. Well I'll qualify that by saying some of them used to be good barbel rivers..

A slightly irrelevant (and probably pretty boring aside 😂), but I was shown an old map (early 1800's I think) by an old farmer near Werneth Low, which showed the Mersey extending all the way up to Hollingworth, e.g. what is now known as the Etherow. And what we now now as the Goyt from watersmeet to the confluence of the Etherow was also labelled as the Mersey. E.g. the Goyt ended at the confluence with the Etherow.

Any, this has reminded me that I can add the Etherow to my list.

I've been barbel fishing for about 50 years, but compared to most above I have led a sheltered life :) ....... but then when I compiled my list I surprised myself :D
