I spent many many hours as a kid on the Upper Bure David...just upstream from Aylsham. Chub, roach, dace, pike, eels, and brownies all featured.. I'll always love that bit of river.

Warleigh weir (BA) today. Unbelievably there were 2 swimmers! Interesting to see the Island having not fished it for several years. Someone has planted conifers and hazel and reeds are growing in the field. Not convinced that the push for bathing status is going to change what was a beautiful spot for the better. Maybe I need to visit again when it wakes up for the spring.
