your basias wouldn’t be a bad choice richMy favorite rod is the Harrison 1.25 Avon rod as it is an absolute pleasure to play fish on but it ain’t got the guts to stop a proper one in some of the small snaggy rivers I fish and there for the 1.75 Torrix would definitely be my weapon of choice for 1 barbel rod
The vertical record player was the most futuristic thing I’d ever seen when it came outHe went on to make the worst hi fi if that's what you could call it ....not joking when I say over 80% of that tat failed within months. He made all his money I believe manufacturing Sky dishes, and was Knighted. Hosted the Apprentice, and screwed Spurs.
Bloody good salesman though, he reckons.
He bought out Sinclair, but again it was mass marketing tat.The ZX Spectrum wasn't a bad bit of tech at the time I vaguely recall.
Ahh the twists and turns of a typical BFW forum, from fishing rods to vertical record players..love it.The vertical record player was the most futuristic thing I’d ever seen when it came out
who cares that it never worked
12 foot though. My 1 rod would always be 11ftyour basias wouldn’t be a bad choice rich
I don’t know much about the 12’s but In the case of 11ft version there’s not a huge difference between them. the butt section is identical it’s just the tips that are a bit different. Is there much difference between the Torrix 1.75 and 2lb version ?
Same here,i generally just use the 2lb tip, middle severn,w/Avon and ThamesJust love my Bob-built BFW I-power 1.75 / 2lb - an absolute joy to play fish on (from what I can remember )
