Why not Chris ?
Generally too deep and too unwieldy in fast shallow water.

Why not Chris ?
I've been using the Drennan Super Specialist with a Gardner Barbel Spoon this season. Neither are perfect, the Gardner net needs the screws superglueing and the Drennan handle does need a little attention to keep it maintained. There's nothing out there that I know of that I'd rather have.
Hi Jerry, looks a good net. Do you know how deep the net is?
Thanks
Paul
hi mate
its about 2ft deep give or take a couple of inches, it sits nice even in shallower swims, the net was originally reccomended to me by an ea officer and barbel angler for the reasons of resting fish and the way the net actually sinks instead of floating about like some do
take care
jerry
No need for a deep net Jerry i've seen them tiddlers you keep catching
Just got the Chris Brown 32" barbel rover net. Def not cheap but it seems like a pukker piece of kit with lifetime guarantee. It has a better finish than some rods i've seen ! Quite heavy but very sturdy, had a 17lb mirror in it Sat night and it coped easily.
Thats my main reason i prefer the rubberised net on the Korum Barbel spoon.Got the Chris brown net last week and used it on the wye over the weekend, firstly it is a good looking bit of kit and seemed well made, but I had 3 fish get there dorsal fin caught in the mesh of the net so it will be returned this week
