landing nets

Got the Chris brown net last week and used it on the wye over the weekend, firstly it is a good looking bit of kit and seemed well made, but I had 3 fish get there dorsal fin caught in the mesh of the net so it will be returned this week

It's an awful, sickening feeling when that happens, isn't it?

The trouble is, once the net gets caught in the dorsal, it seems to cut down between the spines and get deeper, almost like the serrations on the spines only allow it to go one way...and the damage caused doesn't seem to heal too well either

Cheers, Dave.

hi mate
its about 2ft deep give or take a couple of inches, it sits nice even in shallower swims, the net was originally reccomended to me by an ea officer and barbel angler for the reasons of resting fish and the way the net actually sinks instead of floating about like some do
take care
jerry

Thanks Jerry, sounds like what i'm looking for. Not sure about the camo design. Mind you i'm sure the barbel won't mind. cheers, Paul

Been using this net for the last month or so and have found it superb, no problems and its seen a fair few Barbel. Will be a bit wary after hearing this, must have caught in the side mesh as the pan netting is to fine from what i see.
