So much conflicting advice on how to retain and weigh barbel. Why don't we take a leaf out of the golden era of our forefathers and simply knock everything we catch on the head? No need for keepnets or sacks except to hold the cans of special brew in.

Great idea, retain them in a glass case.

I don't have a problem with northerners, just the loud aggressive knowitall ones, at least half of the members on my Severn Syndicate are from north of Stoke, including the guy who administers it.

Plenty of river syndicates about John, Scuba actually ran one on here for a while. Also plenty of clubs around which require a sponsor and don't allow day tickets. Both are a great way to get away from the 'caut owt mate?' types you find on day ticket waters.

Edit, I just had a look back through the thread and contrary to your accusation that I'm stalking you (posting straight after you) the truth is you are the one who posted straight after two of my posts with some rubbish about W.Anchors on forums. Just what exactly is your motivation?
