Congratulations................

Not knowing what was in the bag, dont think its been mentioned, but by the canoe stop might be a good clue as to who might have left it there.

I strongly suspect that it was East Europeans that left this mess probably whilst poaching, and probably, before the opening day of the season. It might have been worth while opening the bag to see if there were wrappers with foreign writing and strange names as that would pretty well confirm the identity of the culprits. Agree with Tom, the other group who put bags in trees are dog walkers - can't see the logic at all.

It certainly wasn't......

The bag wasn't there on the evening of the 15th, because I walked the stretch.
Anglers would have arrived from first light, so its almost certainly a dayticket angler.

I don't think its been highlighted, but a quick thanks to Mart for clearing somebody else's **** away.

This is a venue that is becoming more and more popular with club members, to the point where we've introduced a 'Members only' section towards the bottom of the stretch.

Its probably the same scum that left the rubbish, that removed the members only signs from the fence further down the stretch on the morning of the 16th June....

Sadly its behaviour like this and leaving litter, that may well end up costing dayticket anglers access to this water.

There were two anglers fishing with young children, one a girl of around five or six (maybe?). That would explain why the rubbish in the bag (I did look in case they`d chucked their day ticket away) contained sweet wrappers, chocolate finger boxes and general sweet stuff to keep the kids occupied. Its was too clean and too `new` to have been left at anytime apart from that day.

Makes me wonder if they might have been the cause of the two Carling cans I saw bobbing merrily down the river in late afternoon............

I have to say it's this type of so called angler that has made me pay stupid money for syndi tickets this year. I've just about had enough of your average day ticket club water and the type they seem to attract. Personally i wouldn't blame Kinver if they stopped day tickets on their waters, as a member i would willingly pay a few quid extra a year on the ticket price to cover the shortfall in day ticket takings.

Jez, i can totally understand your feelings. But what about the genuine guys who respect the water, but don,t live locally enough to justify a season ticket. But like to visit a couple of times a year. :(

Fair enough mate i see where you are coming from but as a local who spends a lot of time on local waters i just get fed up with getting to a swim to find meat and corn tins everywhere, and i know it's not just the visiting anglers who are guilty. Like beer cans they weigh nothing when empty so i'm sure ppl can manage to carry them home i mean they carry them down to the waterside when full and heavy. I suppose it's just a sad reflection on todays society in general.

I joined a club this this season and have to say that so far all the waters ive been too have been imaculate, makes fishing a lot more enjoyable when the people using the waters respect them, maybe its because its a bit more £££ than most places,no day tickets, its a world away from the BAA places ive been used too.
