I've found that the Drennan 10lb wire makes absolutely no difference to my catch rate or presentation with small livebaits and means you'll land more of the pike. :)
There's also a chap on eBay selling 10m of 10lb BS unbranded wire for just £1...
13ft match rod is perfect. You don't need anything else.
