I met Keith on a couple of occasions and he was an absolute gent and a master angler. RIP Keith.

    Ise(brook)

Hi Dan. The answer to your question is maybe. I have seen an article in the Kettering Evening Telegraph dated August 1997 of Barbel and other species being stocked at Finedon Mill after a fish kill as a result of a pollution incident. After further investigation with the club that runs that...

    The Best T.V. Fishing presenters

For me it has to be Ian Botham, Charlton, Robson Green and Rex Hunt..... Oh bugger I'm 4 days late. But really for me it would be Wilson, Cribbins and Yates.

    River Erewash

Adrian if you fancy catching your first Grayling I can recommend the Derwent around Matlock. Loads of them, Trout and the odd Barbel. Great river. Also the Don is in the middle of Sheffield is a sure bet.

    River Erewash

Bain of my life the Erewash is! Had Grayling, Trout, Chub and everything else out the river last season but no ruddy barbel. They are there and I have seen a shoal in the upper river but it has been tough trying to entice them out. River is in a pretty good environmental condition by all...

Nice one Nigel! I've had 2 of those fish together along with a 12lb fish but a triptych like that!! Wow. Surprised no one has ever mentioned the other fish down the road from there. Hmm..

Another little helping hand for the Great Ouse

I have been catching the stockies for nigh on for the last 2 years at the spots where they were introduced (Pictures on the Ouse page over the last few seasons). I believe my record is 20 in a morning session. 2 years ago they were averaging 8-12oz. The rate of capture has gone down this season...

    chelmsford

I believe the Roding is run by Billericay and District Angling Club. The Blackwater is run by Maldon Angling Society Not sure about the Chelmer that high up. I used to fish it mostly for the chub and trout when I was a nipper.

    chelmsford

Try the Blackwater near Witham and The Roding close to Ongar. Isolated spots of fish on those 2 rivers. The Chelmer has a few up towards Dunmow area.

    Boilies or halibut Pellets

A nice big lamprey pellet does the job usually.

    Flooding and drought?

Why? This is my local reservoir and last week it was rather low? I guess the Wash and North Sea is rather short of water then. Environment Agency - Flood Warnings FWA Detail

Unfortunately water is an inelastic commodity so we are bugge*** either way!
