Hello all, is it June yet? 😆
I am looking for what I consider to be a great 2 piece summer barbel rod and was wondering if anyone had any experience with the above rod.
It seems to be just the ticket but reviews seem to be thin on the ground.
Any alternative suggestions for 12ft two piece true...
Does anyone make adaptations to shop bought tackle items that are perceived to be inadequate or might be improved upon?
Interested to learn of others ingenuity and inventive natures.
I was going to post this on the Avon Board but thought putting it out to wider discussion might find the answer.
As everyone knows, the past 12 months have been incredibly dry and this has reduced water tables to record low levels.
In monitoring the water levels on the Avon during the cold...
I was just wondering, can anyone recommend a high quality milk protein base mix please?
Something either that perhaps you've used in the past or use now or even do not use but have been recommended by a friend.
Cheers.
I think I've always enjoyed concocting recipes and making my own bait, but having started putting together some bait for this coming season wonder how many others may do the same, soooooo;
I don't know about anyone else, but the end of the season has almost always and immediately been a time of reflection on the things observed and lessons learned over the past few weeks and months.
What adjustments to how you fish are you making or considering making during the time-out?
For me...
Hello fellow piscators, I was wondering, having looked at a few You Tube fishing vids over the weekend, do any of you have any favourite You Tube Channels that you keep going back to to satiate your fishing needs when you can't get out?
It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know that we lost our dear old friend Albert Watkinson just this last week.
RIP Albert old chum, you will be sorely missed.
I am looking to sell these wonderful things. As you can see they come in a beautiful presentation box.
The floats have never left the box!
Offers invited.
Regards
Damian
I have a digital SLR camera kit for which I am inviting offers. This is a semi-professional kit which comprises as follows;
The camera is a Canon EOS 50D which features a 15.1 megapixel sensor, 3inch LCD screen with ‘Live View’. It shoots 6.3 frames per second which has been great for...
Just want it to go to a good home because it's been well looked after, actually it's hardly been used.
Collecting from the Newbury area.
EDIT: make that a Korum Ruckbag. Just watched an episode of Thinking Tackle and product placement has gotten inside of me.
PM me if you're interested...
...would we want to lose the anticipation of this next week?
Putting lines on my reels this morning and sorting out my bag this afternoon.
Bait has been bought and strategy decided.
I can't wait!
Damian
I have an abundance of fishing rods that I'd like to get rid of but on last advertising them on the Classified section on here, I found great difficulty in getting the things posted, to the point which I gave up. I notice however no shortage of those still selling rods.
Has anyone any advice on...
I am looking to buy a couple of new barbel fishing rods, but rather than dip into the much needed bank balance I thought I'd try to sell a few rods I have.
1 North Western Kevlite Barbel Specialist. 12ft 2 piece 1.5lb tc. A lovely clean rod with a strong through action bend and full-length...
I have often thought whilst fishing the Avon, back to memories past, how the river can provide the unexpected. Moments when just sitting there idly allowing time its thing, and being almost empty of thought, when all hell has broken loose and you are in a situation landing something wholly...
I was wondering, having fished the Avon for a number of years now, I consider the effectiveness on my rigs really quite an important part of my angling.
I regularly look at critcally balancing, particularly when things are tough. The use of those rubber casters and maggots, occasionally some...
