I have three fantastic condition ESP Vertex Distance 3lb Carp rods ,all in bags ,which are not getting used . These were as good a rod as Drennan ever made ,super slim with great action in the tip for playing fish but with the ability to throw baits a very long way . They are £100 pounds each...
Paul ,
These old dogs gave this Forum huge viewing and great entertainment back in the day . They may or may not return ,but the Forum will be way poorer if they dont .
Really sad news ,which was expected . RIP ,Steve .
Perhaps folk might think on whether catching a fish is always worth it ,and flooded ,winter rivers are very dangerous places.

It is used for barbel too at times when I fish close in .

So many Carp ! ,and yesterday shedloads of big bream and carp.
Today we had two small pike as well.
There were no zander, barbel ,perch ,roach .
Back tomorrow for another go for any stragglers or areas we have missed.

Well thanks to wonderful response by Colin Harvey and Dave Tainton in alerting the EA on a bank holiday ,and saving fish,we were able to mobilise a significant team within two hours of start of play to be on site and immediately start rescuing the stranded fish.
Day one was with...
And who would be the benefactor of the Electricity ,the big house with the stunning garden owns it and the Island ,and surely cannot be short of a few bob for the leccie.
It would be a travesty imho to allow it,it is a lovely place and a super fishery .
I too am a member of Smiths and that is...
